Have you always lived in Los Angeles?
No, I am from Illinois and have lived in LA for 4 years. 

Elaborate on your background.
I have always worked for myself. I graduated beauty school and rented a chair at a salon for 10 years. I did everything from cuts and highlights to weddings.

What professional achievement are you most proud of?
I'd say getting out of my comfort zone and moving to LA. It was big for me and my career. 

What made you decide to launch your own hair accessory line?
Creating a hair accessory business seemed like the right move after looking all over for simple bridal accessories (and being unhappy with the options) I decided to create my own and decided to make them available for all brides.

How did you come up with your idea or concept for your business?
I knew i wanted to play on the letter B since my name is Bradley and I work in the beauty industry. So many people look at hair accessories as "extra" so to play on that we came up with Basic B Beauty.

Who or what was your inspiration/motivation for Basic B Beauty?
I am inspired by my clients. Ladies who are chic and trendy but also like a good deal.

Basic B Beauty is such a fun name, can you explain who that basic b is in your mind.
The "basic b girl" is really that cute, trendy woman on-the-go. Everyone wants to look and feel cute and adding accessories and cute tools is the best way to bring the fun into any beauty routine.

Can you describe your typical customers?
Hair accessories are trendy for everyone. Our customers are setting the trends and looking for great quality at an affordable price.

Do you plan on opening a brick and mortar location?
Having a brick and mortar location to provide an experience sounds amazing but for now we plan to keep our business online only.

What do you see for Basic B Beauty’s future?
I would love to have Basic B expand to cover tools and other beauty novelties and be a hub for all beauty inspiration.

Is there anything else you would like people to know about you or Basic B Beauty?
Basic B is a small business looking to expand based on the needs and wants of our customers. We would love your input as we expand our accessories and bridal brand.
